Fundamental to dwelling in self-compassion is our ability to be non-judgemental, to hold our failings gently, to see our connection and commonality with all of humanity. None of us are perfect, and in seeing that, there is comfort. We are all connected in feeling the experience of being human. To make mistakes. To experience shame. To feel regret. To seek forgiveness.
For me, self- compassion has come in learning to accept forgiveness. To accept love from some other unseen part of myself. To see my worth as implicit, not earned...to see my path as an answer to the long tail of those who have come before me... to love and forgive all those characters in my head...to be my own Bodhisattva.
